The paired L-blades allow you to work in all types of soil, including stony ground, without stirring up too much soil. Sharpen you L-blades periodically and keep them free of dirt and rust for best results and reduced effort. The standard 250mm toolbar is included with each pair of L-blades.
Note that L-blades do cause some lateral soil movement towards the crop row and can thus be imperfect for the smallest and most delicate seedlings. Consider Preci-discs for this task.
Suggested tool choices by crop stage:
- seedlings from 0 to 5cm (<2"): Use the precision discs for weeding that will protect your rows.
- Vegetation from 5 to 15cm (2-6"): Use L-blades for quick and precise weeding.
- Vegetation over 15cm (>6"): Use the market gardening blade for working between rows.
