Hiller discs are typically used in pairs to form ridges for a plant row, cover weeds in a plant row or move soil away from a plant row; ex.: hilling potatoes or peanuts.
The angle and depth of the disc with respect to the row will affect how much soil is moved. Hiller discs may be used to help move soil to form raised beds and are recommended for use with the Tilmor bed shaper/plastic layer.
