Manual Tine Harrow – Efficient Early-Stage Weed Control
The manual tine harrow is designed to remove weeds at the seedling (plantlet) stage. This proven cultivation technique has long been used in large-scale agriculture, and Terrateck has adapted the concept into a highly effective tool for market gardeners and small-scale growers. By lightly disturbing the soil surface, the flexible springs pull out very young weeds before they become established, helping keep crop beds clean while minimizing soil disturbance.

This tine harrow is appreciated for its versatility. With several working widths available and the ability to adjust the working position, it can easily adapt to different bed layouts and crop spacing.

Double Row Spring Design:
The double row of flexible tines increases the contact surface with the soil. As the springs vibrate across the ground, they efficiently dislodge small weeds while leaving established crops largely undisturbed.
Choosing the Right Handle:
For best ergonomics, we recommend using the harrow with a 1.8 m handle. A T-shaped ergonomic handle helps improve comfort and control during extended use.
Usage Tips:
The weight of the harrow is important for effective operation. A tool that is too light will not provide enough ground pressure for the springs to work properly. Place the harrow on the soil and pull it energetically so the springs vibrate against the ground. This tool works best on very young weeds. For more developed weeds, tools such as oscillating hoes are recommended.
