Mike Zickmund, the maintenance supervisor at Van Drunen Farms, describes the benefits of using finger weeders to mechanically cultivate crops on their farm. Mike has worked at Van Drunen for 30 years and also plays a role in the farm's weed control management. They have three Finger Weeder cultivator units set-up with flex-tine mounts for optimal weed control. The cultivators are set-up to cultivate cilantro, green onions, kale and other vegetables. One of the main benefits Mike describes of the finger weeders is to reduce hand labor on their large scale operation.
